I have partnered with Ligeværd to create a short training program for teachers and educators in daycare centers, schools, the entire spectrum of the special needs segment for youth education, and other professional fields.
The focus is to disseminate knowledge about autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent conditions, so that professionals are equipped to use the neuroaffirmative approach in their work.
The training days are filled with relevant knowledge about the brain’s control systems, strategies for working with the nervous system and trauma-informed approaches, an introduction to regulating emotions and behavior in teaching, as well as how to have conversations with children and young people about their strengths and challenges.
The teaching is practice-oriented with exercises and theory that make sense in everyday work.
